This journal is friends only. Hey, the worst thing that can possibly happen to a person is that they lose their privacy. Trust me.
Leave a comment to be added. Maybe.

I don't friend everyone back. I'm sorry, I just don't. I have a just-barely-manageable flist to sort through every day and I can't add everyone. Regardless, all of the important fandomy stuff is public. You don't need me to friend you if you want to read my fics, see my icons or get my fic recs.

Most everything here is combined under (old) memories and new tags.

[Icons]
My icons can be found here under tags, here on wallflower. Wallflower also has a syndicated feed if you just want the straight goods delivered to your friends page.

[Fanfiction]
Fanfiction is generally organized by series, so tags for that will bring up both fics for that series as well as any entries where I babble on about a particular show. Fics are posted on my website, here, here, here, and on ff.net.

[Fic Recs]
I post links to things I think you might want to read. Well, things I want to read, at any rate. The website for that is here, and all fic-rec posts are tagged here or here.

People whose fic recs I read include [info]tomomichi and [info]rec_a_day.

[Book Recs]
Book recs can be found at [info]fucking_read. Join! It's fun!

[Resources]
I keep track of all the icons I'm stealing, brushes, wallpapers, downloads, screencaps etc-- all of it under the cut.

I haven't put any fic on AO3, but I have put all my vids so far there, including a new Little Mermaid vid. You can view my AO3 profile here, since I assume that's easier to keep track of for a lot of people. Thanks!

New vid! This one's an Ironman (1) vid, just in time for the Avengers movie. You can stream it below or watch it on vimeo (and download it there, etc.) - the password is 1ronma1den.

You can also grab it from This minus folder for an easier way to download.

Okay, so I've made my second-ever fanvid. I'm still learning, but I managed to grab a bunch of footage of people playing the new PSN/PS3 game Journey by That Game Company off youtube.

If you haven't played Journey, it's an atmospheric, 2 hour game with no words or dialogue, only pictograms and gorgeous visuals. If you have, here, enjoy some of that scenery again.

You can see it on Vimeo or stream it below. The password is "foreverscarf".

Hey guys, remember that awesome audio drama I'm in? No? Come on, I turn into BEES.

They're just finishing the writing on book one, and we're about halfway done recording the audio version of it, but there are still at least two more books to go, so they're holding a Kickstarter to fund it.

If you're unfamiliar with Tokyo Demons, it's about teenagers at a Gokusen-like school in Tokyo accidentally winding up involved in a gang war. And yes, some of us have crazy super powers we're trying to keep secret.

The actual kickstarter page is over here and the goal is pretty low and you get amazing prizes for donating! Help a bunch of ladies out, get a special present or five; it's win-win.

I decided to try vidding this week, so below please enjoy (?) my first attempt, a BBC Sherlock vid covering the first two seasons of BBC's Sherlock.

Download the mp4 or download the high-res m4v version (both via Sendspace).

Or stream it on Vimeo below. Password is tiredoflife

Tired of Something from M. K. Repor on Vimeo.

The m4v can be dragged directly into iTunes and will also play in VLC without issues. The weird colour-pixel thing that happens sometimes is because of my first attempts at converting video for suitable editing in iMovie, so if anyone has any tips on that I'll gladly take them. I'm a complete n00b at this, but I've always wanted to try it.

I'm MKlutz on Dreamwidth and the Slash Report update com is over there, as well.

If you need a DW account pronto (as I assume many of you do) I think this link might work.

Also, we've had some new Slash Report episodes lately that I haven't posted here, so you might want to check those out or you can follow us on twitter. We'll be posting the final episode of Season 1 of Slash Report this Friday, December 23rd, and will return sometime in February with Season 2!

This week's episode is fiiiiinally finished. We're both pretty messed up during this week's episode due to illness and various fails, so please enjoy Pru and MK less-censored-than-usual.

This week we discuss Fringe, NCIS, Good Wife, NCIS L-Gay, Mentalist, Dresden Files, the great Delicious departure, and more. We have a Fandom Safari, a boatload of recs for you, and some fail. I'm sure you'll really enjoy it. Go ahead and download it here. Click View to stream the episode, or right-click/alt-option click to download.

Recs will be on our twitter account as usual, but for those of you interested in alt-fannish-delicious we still need:

  • Programmers, or people willing to learn Ruby / Java / etc

  • UX/UI people

  • systems person to manage other things and/or a server eventually

  • entrepreneur/business types

  • launch page / updates blog / etc

  • hosting or someone to manage hosting - more complicated since it must run some kind of ruby - if you're interested in providing we can give you more details

  • Javascript people who can make browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox)

Our RSS feed can be found over here and will update uh... later. Maybe tonight. Maybe tomorrow, depending on how hard I crash after this. When it does, itunes or whatever podcasting software you're using should automatically download the new episode.

Enjoy?

Normally we only release one episode a week of /report, but if you, like us, woke up this morning to see that all the shit in the world had hit every fan that ever existed or ever would exist, you are not alone. Here, listen to this special emergency broadcast of /report where we discuss the AVOS changes to Delicious bookmarks:

Click here to grab this special episode. View = stream. Right click save link as or alt/option click the view button to download it. We also still have our RSS feed which will hook up with iTunes and other podcasting software and you can subscribe through that, though the files go up after the twitter feed.

I can't even say it'll be okay, guys. I can't even say that to you.

Send flu medicine and snacks and a bucket for my cries.

Are you excited? This week on /report, we dive into Hawaii Five-0, we discuss what not to say on the internet, sideline into squicking you out, answer questions and revisit the Fandom Safari. All with special guest Leupagus!

Stream or Download this week's episode here. Click "View" to stream, or right-click save-link-as or alt/option click to download it.

You can also subscribe to the /report with iTunes (or other podcast software) through our RSS feed, though be aware it goes up after the lj/dw/twitter (cloudly) version does.

As usual you can find links to all of our recs this week on our twitter account, @slashreport, and you can email us your comments, questions, and Fandom Safari entries at slashreport at gmail dot com.

This week's opening music is the Hawaii Five-0 theme song, and our closing music is Knock 'Em Out by Lily Allan.

I'm back! And that means a new episode of /report for everyone. This week we discuss the rookie seasons of a few shows, make some predictions about the new seasons starting this week, and ramble off into Star Trek, JGL, sharks, Delicous, Fassbender, and of course, one million fic recs.

There is no intro/exit music this week because Pru and I are both having a crazy-- well, I'd say week, but it looks like it's going to be more like two weeks. There should be music next week though, as well as fannish safaris and more questions from twitter.

Onwards! Click here to see this week's episode. Click "View" to stream the episode or Alt/Option click the view button to download it.

Update! You asked: Here is an RSS feed of the /report where you can auto-subscribe with iTunes by clicking "subscribe with iTunes". It will post sometime after the twitter/lj/dw links go up because I have to (at least currently) host the files separately to make the feed work.

I haven't really listened to this yet, but here, enjoy info/links to this week's Slash Report:

This week Leupagus and and Pru talk writing, anon hate memes, recs, and more. Check it out right over here

Click View to stream or alt/option click to download.

I should be back after this week, I think. One more /report without me and then I'll return! Look forward to terribleness, guys - Pru and I have been talking off and on when I have internet access about new ideas for things to cover, and I think we got another question on twitter!

We'd love to answer questions from twitter. We also have received one entry in our contest to describe/summarize an entire fandom in less than 60 seconds. Feel free to send more in!

Apparently a hell of a lot of you liked our first episode of Slash Report (formerly Slash Cast), so we cleaned some stuff up, got a guest this week, and made some fancy new title art.

This week on /report:

[personal profile] thehoyden joins [personal profile] rageprufrock and me to talk Marvel, Suits, White Collar, NCIS, badfic, guilty fannish pleasures, heavy narcotics, and horse blood. Seriously. Probably. It's all a bit fuzzy to me now.

To stream or download episode 2, click here! To stream it just hit view. To download the episode, alt/option click.

What do you want to hear on /report? Let us know on our journals or on the official /report twitter account, where we will link to all of the fic recommendations from this week.

Our opening music this week was Spank: Mix by Scottaltham, and our closing music was Head Strong (ft. J.Lang) by Jeris.

So it turns out that SlashCast already exists and is an awesome HP podcast that is coming back. That means that instead, the podcast Pru and I make will now be called Slash Report (or / report as you'll see in our new, much better looking and not made in 3 seconds in Skitch graphics).

Which yes, means more episodes! We're hoping to have another one up this weekend, and maaaybe one more before I head out on my trip. There will be a bit of a gap there, but don't worry - there will definitely be more slash report!

In the meantime, we'd love to hear what you think should be covered. You can follow the slash report on twitter to find out when the new episodes are up and get links to our weekly fic recs.

And if you're looking for reasons to get excited about the next episode, be prepared: we're going to talk about some dudes with super powers, give you more fic recs, and have The Hoyden on as a special guest!

You can still listen to or download This week's episode here on Cloudly. Alt or Option click to download.

Thanks for the great response, guys!
